The OAC offers private coaching and group training for triathlons and multisport. No matter what the distance, Team Triumph can help get you to the start line and get you to the finish line faster!!

Team Triumph offers a coached program for indoor cycling, running and strength training geared towards people who are interested in upping their training and potentially doing a Tri a Tri Triathlon, a bike race or tour on a bike. Beginners are welcome and encouraged, and experienced triathletes will get the training they need to finish any level of race from a Sprint to an Ironman!
Julia Aimers, head coach and well known staff member at the OAC for over 25 years is at the helm of Team Triumph and looks forward to answering any questions you may have about the club.

Whether you’re considering the idea of doing a long distance swimming event or feel like your technique needs some work, Julia Aimers, coach of Team Triumph Triathlon Club, is available to help!
Swimming is all about efficiency. Swim smoothly and effortlessly by receiving stroke correction, drills and video on the spot. Improve your technique with Total Immersion skills and drills. Swimmers of all levels are welcome, from newbies to Ironmen!

Learn what it takes to do a triathlon – swim, bike, run, strength and nutrition are all the necessary components, but how do you put it all together? Contact us and we’ll show you how to go from start to your finish line or from a Tri A Tri to an Ironman.
Julia Aimers (BA Rec Admin, Certified Exercise Physiologist) is a NCCP Level 1 Triathlon Coach and Level 2 Technical Road Cycling coach. She has completed her NCCP Swim Coaching course and uses the Total Immersion ™ approach to swimming. Julia was the Fitness Director at the Ottawa Athletic Club from 1989 to 1998, and has been involved at the OAC in some capacity ever since. In 1998 she opened her consulting business Personal Best and the Team Triumph Triathlon Club followed soon after.
Julia’s many years of sport encouraged her to realize that Yoga is an important part of the mix so she completed her 200-hr Yoga Alliance Teacher Training and now specializes in teaching Yoga for athletes. Julia earned the highest designation in fitness testing and personal training in 1990 as a Certified Exercise Physiologist with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. In May of 2011, Julia took the 3-day certification course on The Prevention of Running Injuries with Blaise Dubois of The Running Clinic. This course qualifies her to teach safe running techniques using minimalist running shoes or barefoot running. As a Gold medalist in the 1979 Pan-American Games in badminton, Julia has always understood the importance of striving to achieve your personal best. Julia is currently competitive in triathlons, distance swimming races and bike time trials.
