Children and Youth Programs

Our child and youth fitness programs are designed with whole body health in mind. Lead by qualified fitness professionals in a motivating and inspiring atmosphere classes encourage physical activity, increase body awareness, increase self-esteem and are guaranteed fun! With childhood obesity on the rise and a decrease of physical activity in society we encourage our young members to move their bodies in a safe environment with their friends. They get to work out just like mom and dad and enjoy the amazing atmosphere that the OAC offers. With numerous class options we have something for everyone.

Spring & Summer 2017

Aqua Kids (6 – 10 years)

Spring: April 4 – June 13 (11 weeks)
Summer: July 11 – Aug. 22 (7 weeks)
Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 pm, Indoor Pool

Jump in and join the fun! Make waves, move your body, become comfortable challenging your cardio and muscular endurance and have fun under the guidance of a CALA certified aquafitness leader. This brand new class format at the OAC is sure to be a splash!

Yoga (Kids 4 – 8 years / Youth 9 – 13 years)

Spring: April 3 – June 12 (9 weeks) No class April 17 or May 22
Summer: July 10 – Aug. 21 (6 weeks) No class August 1
Mondays 4:30-5:30 pm, Yoga Studio (Kids) / Studio B (Youth)

A great program that will allow you to develop a strong, flexible and healthy mind, body and spirit as well as increase concentration, attention and focus.  Yoga is an opportunity to find tranquility and peace, while improving whole body health.

Zumbatomic (Kids 4 – 8 years / Youth 9 – 13 years)

Spring: April 8 – June 17 (9 weeks) No class April 17 or May 20
Summer: July 8 – Aug. 19 (6 weeks) No class August 1
Saturdays 9:30-10:15 am (Kids) / 10:15-11:00 am (Youth), Barre Studio

Join this high energy fitness party that will leave you wanting more! Increase body image, self esteem and coordination while challenging cardiovascular endurance.

Dance Collective (5 – 10 years)

Spring: April 5 – June 14 (11 weeks)
Summer: July 12 – Aug. 23 (7 weeks)
Wednesdays 4:45-5:45 pm, Barre Studio

An exciting dance class that will get your children motivated and moving to great music with fun and simple choreography!
