Working your quadriceps properly is absolutely an essential to developing a strong and overall healthy body. Tamer Soliman one of our Personal Trainers is showing off this month his #top3 favourite workouts that focus in on your quadriceps!
Stand with your feet slightly wider than your hips and your toes pointed slightly outward – look straight ahead
The key while performing the squat is to make sure you don’t round your back or overextend your back essentially keep your spine in a neutral position – have your chest and shoulders up.
Keep your entire body tight the entire time while squatting down – it’s also crucial that you start the movement by driving your hips back, and not by bending your knees.
While lunging forward with one leg it’s important to make she you’re tracking the knee over the toe.
Generally, you want your back and front leg to be at 90 degrees. Like the squat you should stay in a neutral spine position – don’t arch or round your back.
Barbell Step-Ups Tips
While stepping up with your leg make sure your whole foot is planted on the box – then drive upwards.
Just like the lunge, make sure your knee is tracking over the toes
