Junior Tennis

The OAC and its partner, the Noble Tennis School, are widely recognized as the leaders for junior tennis in the Ottawa-Gatineau region. Beginning with our seasonal Introductory Programs at age five and proceeding from there to our Diligent Development and Master-Class Pathways of Progress our uniquely effective methodology and teaching is equal parts enthusiasm and expertise. Recognized as an official Tennis Development Centre by Tennis Canada, all students are led through the process of mastery in accordance with their goals and aspirations.

Mandatory Try-outs for 2019-2020 Annual Programs

Attendance at one of the mandatory free assessment dates is required to determine eligibility for all new and returning applicants.

Please arrive early and ready to go on court at 4:00 pm. Session will end between 6:30-7:00pm.

Wednesday, August 21           U8 All-Stars (Ages 5-7)
Thursday, August 22              U9 & U10 All-Stars (Ages 6-8 / 7-9)
Monday, August 26                 U14 Annual Programs ( Ages 9-13 Intermediate, Advanced)
Tuesday, August 27                 U18 Annual Programs (Ages 13-17 Intermediate, Advanced)
Thursday, August 29               U12/14 Master-Class

Registration for lesson spots will be filled following determinations from the try-outs. Please note that a minimum commitment of 2 group lessons per week, September through June, are program requirements.

INTRODUCTORY: MITES & FUTURES

The Introductory Program allows children to properly learn tennis at a young age.

ALL-STARS: U8, U9, U10

For U9 and U10 players seeking year-round, top-quality instruction, and are keen to participate in suitable matchplay and competition.

INTERMEDIATE: U14, U18

Our Annual Intermediate (ages 9-13, 14-17) programs provide students with a steady diet of weekday and weekend training groups combined with more opportunities for Play.

ADVANCED: U14, U18

Full season of top quality training for U12 - U18 players with a strong existing foundation of tennis skills, typically participating in ample combination of training activities, matchplay and competition.

COMPETITIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: U12, U14 MASTER-CLASS

Comprehensive training for successful competitive results at the Provincial Level, while laying foundations for competition at National and International Levels

U18 MASTER-CLASS: SPORT STUDY PROGRAM

Our Master-Class program is designed for the most committed students of the game. It provides comprehensive training, and an individualized approach.
